10 Places to go with your children for a day

Childhood is such an important time for building memories that last a lifetime. In Singapore, there are many places to go with your children for a day and create special memories with them.

Going out also provides the best environment for learning and expanding the children’s horizons, especially if done together as a family.

In this list, we tried to avoid common places like indoor playgrounds, which we covered in a previous article, and make way for other types of unique and exciting experiences worth a try.

  1. Forest Adventure

This is a place to get the adrenaline going. It’s located at Bedok Reservoir and has two treetop courses specially laid out for the kids. They involve many activities ranging from suspended planks to rope bridges. And although they are designed for the kids, you are also welcomed to join them up in the trees.

The smaller tots also can join because there is a special mini course for them. Adults are not allowed on this course but you can still follow your children around to encourage them and make the visit memorable.

  1. Fire station open house

Many don’t know that all fire stations in Singapore, except for the one on Jurong Island, hold open houses every Saturday from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, and no prior registration is required unless your group is bigger than 10 people.

You can just go and let the kids climb a real fire engine, walk around the facilities to see the firemen, and even spray the water hose. Every child will be thrilled to visit this place and they will be excited to share the story with their friends.
